Human Rights Behind Bars is a nonprofit organization dedicated to challenging the systemic inhumane treatment of incarcerated individuals. We believe that every person deserves to be treated with basic human dignity, regardless of their circumstances.

At the same time, we extend our lifeline to women who have faced the trauma of abuse—whether in the home through domestic violence or in the workplace. We help individuals and families navigate these difficult, inhumane situations with dignity, hope, and practical care.

Workplace Abuse Advocacy

We stand with women facing harassment, discrimination, and abuse in the workplace. We offer guidance on their legal rights and provide advocacy to ensure their voices are heard.

Family & Reentry Assistance

We provide practical assistance to families navigating the trauma of incarceration and abuse, helping them access resources and rebuild their lives with dignity and care.
